Directions from Newtown

Follow the A489 towards Machynlleth. As you leave Newtown, passing a Honda garage, you will come to a roundabout with Theatr Hafren to the right and Mochdre Industrial Estate to the left - turn left towards the estate. A mini roundabout is set about 50 yards along this road, and it is here that you need to turn to the right.

Follow the road through a small residential area called Stepaside and continue until you get to the pub (Dolau Inn). Turn left at the pub towards Pentre. Proceed for 0.9 miles and you will come to a crossroads (easy to miss !) just before a stone and white house on the right (about 300 yards past another white house on the right).

Turn left at the crossroads (a single track lane) and drive for about a mile - the lane veers right at a couple of cottages, so just follow it round. The lane ends at the lake, but its narrow and twisty with limited visibility in places, so please drive slowly on the narrow lanes !
